7 days now and they still didn't fix this Flux. Perhaps tonight.

Guys, this flux wasn't a joke. It invokes innovation, skill, timing, positioning, and great times.

Unless there is an aoe skill with a 1 sec casttime and 25% armorpen that has no traveltime...

Haha, nice one..

Anyway, the classic skill update should happen tonight... i'm not expecting a lot of originality from it, more likely a " nerf what won maT"

Im not anticipating this at all. By all accounts, DirT build is 'relatively' balanced compared to a lot of other stuff. I mean what would you nerf?

Dervish - trololololol, the fuel for almost every stupid build in existence atm, but anet wont nerf them heavily. Big damage, big conditions, deep wounds application on short recharges. Big joke.

Burning Arrow Ranger - 1 of the most honorable bars around, no nerf incoming hopefully.

Dom Mesmer -Again, honour bar in many peoples eyes, no nerf required.

Fire Ele - Mind Blast is 1 of the most powerful skills in the game, but its not necessarily broken. Likely no need of a nerf.

Invoke Air Ele - Ok, the obvious candidate, invoke should go, but it probably wont. The rest of the bar is fine, although adding 2-3s to the recharge of blinding flash may alleviate a lot of the problems associated with abuse of air eles at present, particularly in arenas such as RA where there is very limited condition removal.

In summary, I cant see anet nerfing last mats build, because relative to much of the other junk around, its not THAT broken. Its big damage etc, but the build has no snare capabilities whatsoever, potentially its achilles heel. Its nowhere near as 'broken' as other build options.

The next update im lead to believe could be a big elementalist buff. Good news for PvE apparantly, could well be the end of pvp unless skills are heavily split pve/pvp. Teams already have enough midline spammable defence, snares and damage, more will just make the game unplayable.

Regarding this months flux, albeit a stupid one, people in GvG at least seem to be switching back to pressure based builds, even with this flux in place. The increased damage of 2-3 melee chars, combined with some pressure/interupts of say a ranger and necro/mesmer, seems to be having considerable success. The flux is stupid, but i cant see anet changing it. At the end of the day the purpose of the flux is to try and "shift" the meta game, its done this by encouraging heavy damage builds, and less degen. So for all intents and purposes, the flux has been "successful", even if not to the liking of the masses.

I think the operative expression is "ham-handed."
